Some of the complex social reality in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, at the onset of civil war, is reflected in a series of carefully edited scenes -partly real, partly staged- taken from the private life of the visiting filmmaker, whose quality of not being a journalist prompts him to look for symbolism and significance in what appears to be a world full of fictions.
